Why is Surrogacy Procedure in Kenya preferred by many international patients?

Yesterday morning there was a conference going on and people from Kenya and another part of the countries are gathered together to discuss about the Surrogacy Procedure in Kenya which is the best procedure for the childless couples and why people from other countries travel to Kenya only for the surrogacy and not going for the surrogacy procedure in their own countries.

One of the patients who had his Surrogacy Procedure in Kenya told the other people about his experience and also told them that they are refused to be treated in their own country because the fertility expert in their country told them that there are very few chances of conceiving a baby and they do not want to affect their success rates by treating them. The couple was shattered into pieces and they lost all their hope of becoming a parent of an own baby. Then they met with one of their relative who was also struggling from a long period of time to have an own baby and now they have their own baby by having the Surrogacy Procedure in Kenya.

The couple decided that they will also visit for their Surrogacy Procedure in Kenya and will have their own baby. They travel to Kenya and met the fertility experts where they give them the proper time and review all their medical reports and also examine them properly that what is stopping them to become a parent of an own baby. After finding the exact cause the fertility expert in Kenya told the couple about the Surrogacy Procedure in Kenya which is of two types that is (i) Gestational Surrogacy and (ii) Traditional Surrogacy

(i)    Gestational Surrogacy Procedure in Kenya is the procedure where the fertility expert will collect the eggs from the women ovaries and fertilize them with the sperm of her husband using the procedure called IVF to facilitate fertilization. Once the fertilization occurs the resulted embryo will be placed into the uterus of the surrogate mother and she will willingly carry the baby in her womb for 9 months until the baby birth. This is the safe and more demanded procedure because in this procedure couple will have their own genetic baby and surrogate has no relationship with the baby born.

(ii)    Traditional Surrogacy Procedure in Kenya is the procedure where the eggs of the surrogate or egg donor will be artificially inseminated with the sperm of the sperm donor or intended father to facilitate the fertilization. Once the fertilization occurs the resulted embryo will be placed into the uterus of the surrogate mother. In this procedure, the surrogate is the biological mother of the baby born because her eggs were used for fertilization.

The fertility expert in Kenya told us that gestational surrogacy is the best way that we can have our own baby because there is a problem with my wife’s uterus and every time we plan for the baby is unsuccessful. They told us that by gestational Surrogacy Procedure in Kenya we will have our own genetic baby.

Also, they told us that all the surrogate they have are young, healthy and fertile women and all are properly examined for their medical and physiological testing so that they will deliver the best services to the childless couples.

Also, they told us that there is no such legal law applicable on the Surrogacy Procedure in Kenya, however, to run the process smoothly and hassle-free they ask us and the surrogate to sign a mutual agreement which states that the surrogate will carry our baby in her womb for 9 months and she will hand-over our baby after the baby birth. On the other side, we have to pay the surrogate mother for providing her services to us and we will pay her the compensation in the monthly installments and the balance left will be paid to her once the heartbeat of the infant in confirmed through the ultrasound.

After the Surrogacy Process in Kenya is completed we need to file a petition in Court for seeking the permission to be a legal parent of baby born and the Court will review the agreement which we both signed before the Surrogacy Process in Kenya and after the examination of the agreement they allow the Department of the Vital Statistics to issue the new birth certificate for the baby born in the name of his/her intended parents as the legal parents and surrogate has no relationship with baby born.

The entire Surrogacy Procedure in Kenya cost us only USD 35,000 including all other expenses for whereas in our country the fertility expert told us the cost of the surrogacy is around USD 1, 00,000 without including any expenses. This is the reason that people from other countries visit Kenya for their Surrogacy Procedure.
